Collaborative Scheduling™:
Setting Scope
Co Scheduling takes a far broader view of
flexibility than individual Flexible Work
Arrangements. It enables at least three forms of
valuable collaboration and flexibility beyond FWAs.
The scope of an aggressive Co Scheduling initiative
can include:
•
Collaborative Schedules
ranging from team self-scheduling to full-time
offsite
•
Collaborating at a
Distance which supports separated managers
and peers
•
Collaborating Back to
Wellness which maximizes productivity and
engagement
Clients can select all or some of these dimensions
of flexibility and can choose a variety of tools and
modalities within each one. All elements are
integrated within a seamless system to deliver the
following outcomes: |

Collaborative Schedules
The Co Scheduling GPS enables
employees to explore the path from their current way
of working to a variety of scheduling destinations:
ongoing practices like working offsite twice a week,
being away a few hours for a doctor’s appointment or
compressing schedules once in a while. We offer
different destinations, different routes and rules
of the road for managers and employees to get all
the support they need to get there. Reinforcement of
collaboration tools is highlighted throughout.
Collaborating at a Distance
While the challenges of managing those you can’t see
may get addressed in some settings, comprehensive
support is often absent or seldom integrated with
the best practices of remote or virtual work. A
strength of the Co Scheduling approach
is that it fully integrates these related practices
without confusing them and brings maximum resources
to bear on the effective management of those at a
distance.
Collaborating Back to Wellness
Employees with chronic conditions – from a sudden
cancer diagnosis to musculoskeletal (e.g., back)
injuries are hard-pressed to maintain productive
work – for their own and the company’s benefit.
Managers are often at a loss to guide employees
through this process. Co Scheduling
provides methods, skills and strategies for both
managers and employees to collaborate back to
wellness wherever possible. |
This comprehensive system has the supports needed to
make each or all of the elements effective. If a
client has materials or portions of these sections
that it wants included, our open architecture allows
their integration. Similarly, installation of one or
two segments can occur first, with the others to
follow at a later date. |
